RODGER A. GROVE
BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Grove received his bachelor’s degree in Finance with a major emphasis in Real Estate at California State University, Fullerton in 1983. He continued his education by attending numerous advanced commercial real estate, and business courses at the University of California, Irvine, Harvard Law School, and Harvard Business School. He later went on to procure a Real Estate Broker License from the State of California in 1984.
In 1984, Mr. Grove started his real estate career as assistant to the president of Pulliam Properties, where he had an active role in the acquisition, management and development of many commercial and residential properties throughout Southern California.
In 1988, he joined Sperry Van Ness, a newly formed investment real estate brokerage firm in Newport Beach. In 1989, he was offered a partnership position and was promoted to Sales Manager. In 1990, he was promoted to Regional Manager and in that capacity successfully opened an office for the firm in San Diego. He went on to open an office in Phoenix and in Houston and finished his time with Sperry Van Ness as Regional Manager of the corporate office in Newport Beach.
In 1996 he created TRC Investments, where he consulted with out of state investors active in the purchase and sale of commercial properties in Southern California.
In 1999, Mr. Grove was recruited by Birtcher Properties to manage the transaction activities of the firm. In his capacity as Senior Vice President, he was responsible for all acquisitions and dispositions. Birtcher Properties is a firm active in all aspects of office, industrial and retail properties with most acquisitions requiring business plans to rehab, reconstruct or reposition the assets.
In 2004, Mr. Grove opened RJ Realty Investors, LLC, where he presides as president. His education and experience have enabled him to develop a reputation in the industry for competent execution and thoughtful deal structure. He is active in acquiring commercial property ranging from $5,000,000 - $20,000,000, where the target assets require opportunity to create value through rehab or redevelopment of the property.
Mr. Grove and his wife, Mitzi, currently reside in Oceanside, California.
